Join renowned naturalist, Ken Chaya, to discover the wonders of nature in Morningside Park. At last the leaves will be reaching their peak in Autumn color! Late October usually signals the brilliant yellows, deep oranges and fiery reds of Fall. We will observe different trees and discuss what changes are happening in their annual life cycle. We will compare leaf colors and textures from separate trees and learn about the differences between native and non-native species. We will also seek out Birds and Insects that can be found at this time of year.
Children must be accompanied by an adult, be prepared to walk, and wear closed-toe shoes. Binoculars are recommended but not required. There are no rain dates. Only in the case of heavy rain or thunderstorms will the event be rescheduled.
This program is underwritten by The Morningside Park Conservancy. Tickets are Free but we ask you to register so we are adequately staffed. We look forward to seeing you in the Park!
